This month Knox Ridge will be partnering with WUTK to give away tickets to Bonnaroo!
Students will have the opportunity to put their names in an entry box, and at some of our events on UT Campus, we will be choosing several winners over the next several weeks. This month a few students will win tickets to the music festival.
The lineup for Bonnaroo will be announced Tuesday at 11 p.m. on TBS, but rumors are circulating the Internet that the Bonnaroo app updated prematurely, leaking the list of artists.
The leaked list includes, Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, Dead & Company, Death Cab for Cutie, Tyler The Creator, BORNS, MisterWives, Adventure Club, Chvrches, Two Door Cinema Club, Third Eye Blind, Lord Huron, Purity ring, and Lettuce.
You can check out the full leaked list here.
Tickets will be going on sale Friday at 12 p.m.
When you can win
We will be announced the dates prior to some of our on campus events. Follow us on Social Media to find out when you can win.
More on Bonnaroo
For fifteen years, Bonnaroo has been the ultimate music festival experience. Bonnaroo is a four-day festival in Manchester, TN from June 9th -12th.
The Bonnaroo website describes the festival as, “85,000 Happy Campers. 700 Acres of Tennessee Nature. 150 Epic Performances. 10+ Stages of Music. Dozens of Comedians. Four of the Best Days Ever.”
There are areas for camping and then you head through the Centeroo where the real fun begins. At the Centeroo you will pass through security and see varying music and countless food and craft vendors.
Campers are reminded to drink plenty of water. Water stations are located throughout the property, and this year they are installing permanent bathrooms and showers on the property.
This also means there will be more water stations on the property for campers to stay hydrated. Every faucet at the festival is safe to drink from, as all water is 100% filtered.
Other fun stuff
When you’re not listening to all of the awesome artists at Bonnaroo, there are all kinds of other activities to enjoy.
Campers stay cool and have fun with Splash-a-roo. There is a choice between the normal 35-foot waterslide and a larger 40-foot waterslide.
You can also head to Snake & Jake’s Christmas Club Barn and celebrate Christmas in June. You’ll see tons of lights, reindeer, and according to the Bonnaroo website, “at least one creepy Santa.”
Ride the Bonnaroo Ferris Wheel or enjoy sometime at The Fountain which is redesigned every year.
Do it BIG
We hope that by giving students the opportunity to skip paying for tickets, students do Bonnaroo in a BIG way this year. Come see us on campus this week, and don’t miss your chance to go to “Four of the Best Days Ever.”
So whether or not you’re a seasoned Bonnaroovian or just starting out, enter your name to win. You may just go home with one of the coveted wristbands for Bonnaroo.
